Health and Safety Policy Statement
Our vision is to drive towards:
zero injuries to colleagues; and
zero avoidable injuries to our customers and members of the public.
We believe that all injuries, incidents and work-related illnesses should be preventable, and that good health and safety management is morally and commercially essential.
Our vision will be achieved by our ‘drive to zero injuries’ that is delivered by this Policy, and the other elements of our management system, including (but not limited to):
risk assessments leading to adequate control of any hazards arising from our workplace activities;
the provision of safe systems of work and the maintenance of safe equipment and workplaces;
the safe use, handling and storage of materials;
the provision of safety information, instruction and supervision for all colleagues;
the provision of clear roles and responsibilities for management and colleagues;
the provision of training to ensure that all colleagues are competent in completing their tasks safely;
promoting the physical and mental wellbeing of our colleagues and reducing work-related ill health;
consultation and participation of colleagues in health and safety decision-making;
colleagues are encouraged to report hazards, unsafe conditions and incidents;
the setting of company and personal health and safety objectives and targets;
managers at all levels are responsible for implementing this policy within their areas of responsibility and ensuring adequate resources are provided;
the investigation of injuries, incidents and work-related illnesses to prevent recurrence;
the provision of emergency procedures and adequate first aid resources;
monitoring and maintaining safe and healthy working conditions including welfare facilities;
complying with all applicable health and safety legislation, regulations and other requirements to which the organisation subscribes; and
ensuring that contractors, suppliers and visitors are managed appropriately and operate safely while undertaking activities on behalf of Times24 UK Limited
We are committed to continual improvement in both our performance and management of health and safety by building on our positive culture where management demonstrates leadership and encourages ownership and involvement of all colleagues.
It is every colleague’s responsibility to work with Times24 UK Limited to put the above provisions into practice. In line with our vision, we bring this policy to the attention of all colleagues. A copy of this policy will also be available on our website for our customers, contractors and interested parties.
This policy will be reviewed and updated annually to ensure that it remains effective and is in line with the business’ strategic direction.
